A vibrantly Italian business and residential community, Little Italy is San Diego’s oldest neighborhood business district. At one time, more than 6,000 Italian families lived in Little Italy. Today it is represented by a diverse group of businesses and residents, though you can still find the older residents playing card games and arguing heatedly in Italian as you stroll through the sidewalk cafes.
